"I am a board-certified specialist in orthopedic and sport rehabilitation with a certification in advanced manipulative therapy. With a focus on biomechanics, I utilize functional manual techniques and manipulation to facilitate optimal movement and function.  I have a well-rounded understanding of and experience with many types of functional lives such as performing artists, athletes, and those simply trying to make it through the daily grind of midtown Manhattan. All have very individualized issues, goals, and needs. I am dedicated to finding out what those are and using them to help optimize function.

I moved to New York City from the island of O’ahu in Hawaii to complete my doctorate coursework in physical therapy at Long Island University where I received the Dean’s award for academic excellence and somehow managed to become valedictorian of my class.  Growing up, I played basketball, baseball, soccer, paddling, and volleyball. Before moving to New York, I was involved in the performance world on stage and screen, from teaching drama and movement to children to acting in short films and commercials, from a brief stint as a Samoan fire-knife dancer to playing my music at the local watering hole on Saturday nights. These days, I find myself passing the time playing music, hiking, Spartan-racing, and getting my butt kicked in Jeet Kune Do (the martial arts practice of Bruce Lee).”
