Tony is a licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT). He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Dominican University (formerly Dominican College) and is certified through the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial & Cervical Therapeutics. He specializes in neck pain and cervical spine disorders, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), orofacial pain, and headache disorders. At Hi Physio, Tony brings a decade of experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, where he has treated a wide range of conditions, from common musculoskeletal injuries and low back pain to complex post-operative cases and chronic pain.
Tony takes a personalized, patient-centered approach to care, focusing on pain relief, individualized exercise programming, and helping patients return to the activities that matter most to them. He has extensive experience working with athletes ranging from recreational enthusiasts to elite competitors, including runners and combat sport practitioners, giving him a deep understanding of the demands of performance and recovery. Whether the goal is eating comfortably, speaking without pain, exercising confidently, or fully participating in work, sport, and everyday life, every plan of care is tailored to the individual's needs, goals, and lifestyle. He also values collaboration with physicians, dentists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Tony is a lifelong martial artist. He is an instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu, a second-degree black belt in Goju-Ryu Karate, and has formal training in Judo, Tai Chi, and Muay Thai. With over 15 years of martial arts experience, he integrates Eastern movement philosophies with evidence-based Western rehabilitation, emphasizing movement efficiency, body awareness, and the interconnected nature of the human body. Tony believes that effective rehabilitation extends beyond symptom management and empowers patients with the knowledge and confidence to take an active role in their recovery.
A native New Yorker, Tony enjoys biking, running, spending time with his dog, Bacon, and exploring the city's diverse food and pizza scene.
